40368: LEGO Xtra Xmas Accessories Set Review

Towards the end of last year, I took a look at some of the new LEGO® xtra Accessory polybags. A new set has been added to the range and I’ve been sent a couple to take a look at. The latest set features a selection of festive items to add a little extra to your own LEGO sets or MOCs this Christmas. The xtra range features items which compliment other LEGO sets, so they include minibuilds, bits of scenery and Minifigure accessories. The xtra Xmas Accessories set features 32 pieces, plus a couple of spare elements, so let’s take a closer look.

The polybag features an odd selection of accessories, they don’t really have much of a connection between them all, apart from a festive feel. There are a couple of buildable elements, these include a mini snowman, a candy cane pole and a couple of simple presents. These are joined by a couple of gold ornate fences, snowflake, frosty leaf, small pine tree and a husky dog. Finally there are a couple of elements which can be added to a Minifigures, these include a ski hat, snowshoes and a sack of presents.

Youngsters can add a wintery Christmas theme to their LEGO® creations with this LEGO xtra 40368 Xmas Accessories set, featuring snowman and dog figures, and a selection of accessories including a Christmas tree, sack, and 2 wrapped gifts. Also includes a pixie hat, 2 gold-colored fence panels, a pair of snow shoes, ice crystal, candy cane and a snowy branch element with 2 attachable 1×1 ice elements. Overall

The Xtra sets are a great way to get some rarish elements as well as being able to bring a little extra detail to your LEGO builds. They are particularly useful for MOC builders and those who like to create their own city scenes. To be fair they are a little difficult to review, as there is very little building involved. But what I can say is they are great add-on items for boosting up spend amounts. This particular set has some nice pieces, nothing overly rare, although the snowshoes, white leaf and gold bud are found across the least amount of other sets. The Xtra range is available now from LEGO Brand Stores and LEGO.com.
